Have Thermal Printers for Better Business

Thermal printer is ideal for simple printing tasks such as printing receipts. Since it produces documents or image by selectively heating the coated thermal paper, it is economical than any other kinds of printers. The thermal print head is impressed onto the thermal paper once this paper passes through it, allowing texts or images to be produced.

There are thermal printers that could produce different color; the very common ones are red and blue, aside from black.

The thermal printer has components that include platen, spring, thermal head, and controller boards. The platen is the one the feeds paper through its rubber roller. The spring is the one that applies pressure to the thermal head; it is a device that causes the thermal print head to contact the thermo sensitive paper. Lastly, the controller boards are used as a mechanism for controlling.

There are three kinds of thermal printer—thermal wax transfer printer, wireless thermal printer, and direct thermal printer. Thermal wax transfer printer presses the wax coated ribbon onto the paper with the use of heat so that the image or text is transferred. When the ink cools on the paper, it becomes permanent. What’s good with this is that it can print colorful images or texts. Wireless thermal printer uses Bluetooth technology or infrared beams so that the data is connected to the computer, allowing the document or images to be printed. Direct thermal printer is the most common one because it is ideal for printing receipts and a lot of business establishments use this. It works with the use of burning dots being contacted onto the coated paper so that images or texts are created.
